The Challenge
The primary objective in our project with Casagne, an e-commerce-focused commercial lasagne company, was to infuse their product imagery with a sense of fun and vibrancy. This involved utilizing custom-made timber blocks and backboards, painted in soft pastel shades of green and orange, to create a unique and appealing backdrop for the lasagne..
Creative Approach: The challenge lay in transforming traditional lasagne visuals into something more dynamic and colorful, aligning with the client’s vision of a playful yet appetizing presentation. The use of custom-designed elements brought a fresh and distinctive look to the product.
Insight and Execution: A significant amount of time and skill was invested in the post-production phase. Each image underwent an intensive retouching process, taking more than an hour per image, with some requiring up to four hours of detailed work. The level of retouching was so extensive that the final images bordered on the quality and appearance of digital renders rather than traditional photographs. This meticulous process resulted in a total of 30 high-quality, visually striking images.
Project Outcome: The end result of this creative endeavor was a series of images that not only elevated the visual representation of Casagne’s lasagne but also set a new standard in food photography within the e-commerce space. The project demonstrated how innovative visual techniques and attention to detail can significantly enhance the appeal of a food product in the competitive online marketplace.
