AX & The Pizza Bar Strathmore
The Pizza Bar Strathmore holds a special place in our journey at AX Creative. As one of our very first clients, they trusted us when we were just a group of kids eager to make an impact, starting with some free promotional work.
What began as a small collaboration evolved into a full partnership, spanning rebranding, strategic marketing campaigns, and more. Through this process, we were fortunate to gain not only great clients but also lifelong friends.
Our journey with The Pizza Bar Strathmore began at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, a period marked by significant changes and challenges in the hospitality industry. The primary goal was to transform the establishment's identity from Pizza Bar Strathmore to PBS, an acronym representing Pizza, Burger, Souvlaki. This rebranding venture extended beyond a mere name change; it involved a complete overhaul of the logo and the development of unique icons for each type of packaging. The most formidable challenge was crafting a distinctive brand presence that would differentiate PBS from its competitors.
In the wake of the pandemic, The Pizza Bar Strathmore underwent a significant business model shift, transitioning to exclusively operate as a takeaway service. Despite the thoughtful and detailed rebranding efforts, this shift in business focus meant that the newly developed branding elements were not fully utilized as originally intended.
This project serves as a testament to the unpredictable nature of the hospitality industry, especially during times of global crisis. It highlights the importance of flexibility and adaptability in branding strategies. While the rebranding of PBS was carefully executed to create a unique and appealing identity, external circumstances led to an unforeseen change in its application and relevance.
